Launching the world’s most downloaded-language learning app in the China market

Our challenge was to create and execute a launch campaign for Duolingo in the China market with four new language courses while building relationships with key media and online influencers, PR/marketing activities, driving downloads of the app in China. We crafted a strategic narrative to introduce the international brand story, new courses for locals and key spokespersons to key media. Hosted two events in Beijing to build relations with media, key users and influencers, and secured speaking opportunities for global CEO at a high-profile edutech conference. Our efforts resulted in an increase of 150% Duolingo user growth, in daily active users in China in the first year.
