Sunseeker London Group is the largest group with over 20 territories in EMEA and needed support around the annual London Boat Show to bring influential business media to their stand. Our challenge was that they needed to effectively promote their business whilst not mentioning products as it would conflict with the Sunseeker factory outreach.
We came up with the idea of telling Sunseeker’s remarkable business story from past to present. This was pitched to 10 influential business journalists along with a personal invitation to attend the London Boat Show, and followed up with the opportunity to speak with David Lewis, Group Sales Director.
Our strategy was to offer exclusives with each top tier vertical publication and then cascade down the list once secured. We tapped into our little black book to engage with journalists individually, giving them access into the world of Sunseeker. A series of media briefings were then scheduled at the London Boat Show, managed by our PR team to ensure that the briefing stayed on topic and included all key messages.
On Day One, four media meets were secured with The Financial Times, The Guardian, Sky Swipe and Real Business. Further opportunities were secured off the back in top tier titles. The client was so impressed with the quality of the coverage that they then asked YOU to support at all other events as well as managing all on-going corporate profiling activity.
