At BJL we have had a terrific recent history of picking up highly sought-after awards for our work. Last year, we picked up an average of one marketing effectiveness award every month, and this year has seen some notable further successes.
We were hugely proud to be recently named “Creative Agency of the Year” at the 2015 MPA Inspiration Awards. It was awarded in reflection not only of BJL’s recent creative successes, but also our commitment to growing our digital expertise and attracting bright young talent.
The awards were held in the stunning surroundings of an ancient gothic monastery, and we were up against stiff competition Carbon Digital Ltd, Future Artists Ltd, Refinery, and TBWA. The night was great fun, and the event was packed with Manchester’s most exciting creative talent — and plenty of friendly rivalry too!
The MPA is the largest publicity association in Europe, and its huge membership comprises many of Manchester’s creative, media, publishing or digital industries — so we’re delighted that our approach and work was chosen to be highlighted out of such a competitive membership.
That’s not the only award we have won recently, either — we have also just won at the 2015 Fresh PR Awards, where BJL was awarded the Grand Prix for our #RonsealApology campaign. BJL’s innovative campaign for Ronseal was in competition with some excellent campaigns for IKEA and REED Specialist Recruitment.
We’ve still got our fingers crossed, too: BJL is nominated for trophies at the 2015 Campaign BIG Awards and the Northern Marketing Awards in the next few weeks.
While awards are not the be-all-and-end-all — ultimately, we’re most proud of the great, inventive and effective work we produce for our clients — they are a wonderful reminder of all the energy, creativity and thoughtfulness that our 80-strong staff put in to all of our projects, and we are hugely proud of everyone who has been part of our success!
