Adventure activities such as bungee jumping, parachuting, skiing, surfing, tramping or climbing are the most popular in the Netherlands. The Czech Republic has got a 23rd place in a survey measuring the adventurous nature of its population. That place is not insignificant, as seen by the sale of outdoor clothing, representation of foreign brands such as Fjallraven, Columbia or Patagonia or the number of local outdoor companies such as Alpine Pro, Tilak or Bushman. In Prague, it´s capital city, it is quite common to see a man walking on a street who is dressed like he is ready to go for a hike rather than to go to his work.
Most often Czechs search on Google key words such as tramping followed by mountaineering. SHAREaCAMPER has compiled a worldwide ranking that measures the adventurous nature of the population of forty different countries, based on popular activities such as mountaineering, parachuting, tramping, caravan, BMX, bungee jumping and surfing. They analyzed the volume of keyword searches related to eight "adventure" activities on Google over the past 12 months. It is assumed that the search volume corresponds to the popularity of the activities in question.
Most adventure activities per capita were searched in the Netherlands, followed by Australia (the highest scores in climbing, parachuting and surfing), third place belongs to Sweden. In the total number of searches for "adventure" activities, regardless of the population, the United States won against Germany and France.
In the Czech Republic (23rd place per capita), according to the rate of search mountaineering won over the free-range tramping, traveling by caravan and parachuting. The Czech republic is an interesting market for outdoor companies and also a great destination for people searching outdoor adventures.
