Ian Wright Managing Director
Ian was appointed Managing Director in January 2012. He brings a wealth of experience to this new network having spent the last 25 years working in advertising agencies. He has worked in London, Edinburgh and internationally. His experience covers most sectors, with particular experience in finance, tourism, government, media, charities and politics. His passion is working with clients to help them achieve their objectives. Many of his campaigns are award winners, however he is particularly proud of his effectiveness awards. When he's not working you'll find him in the Alps, skiing in winter and walking in the summer.
Daniel Eischen Chairman
Daniel studied literature, economics and business management in France and the USA. He holds an MBA from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. He started his career as a business consultant but quickly moved on to his true love, communication and marketing. Daniel co-founded Interact (digital media) and Concept Factory (advertising and design) in 1995. Followed a number of other business creations operating under the market brand “The Factory Group”. CEO of Interact, he has extensive experience in the areas of integrated cross-media communication strategies, social media and CSR policies. Board member of a number of business federations and chambers, Daniel regularly appears as conference speaker, coach and senior management trainer.
In his spare time, he is a singer-songwriter, world traveller and passionate cook.
CEO and one of the owners of BJL, Nicky has worked with the broader BJL team to establish the business as one of the biggest independent agencies, and one of the most awarded. Before life at BJL, she gained a degree and post graduate qualifications in marketing, was a lecturer in marketing, spent time as a client and as part of a global network agency. As with all the senior team, Nicky has a hands-on role with clients, and is the Honorary Secretary of the IPA Council, Deputy Chair of Tribe Global and sits on the Internationalisation & Marketing Advisory Board for The Manchester Growth Company.
Under Todd's leadership since 1990, the company has evolved into an organization of renewed relevance and contemporary stature. Todd has played a role on virtually every account, including Wilsonart, The Island of Dominica, Tennant, and Radisson. He is also actively engaged in both the industry and the community, including stints as the board chair of the Twin Cities Chapter of the American Association of Advertising Agencies, board member of the Children’s Miracle Network and board chair of the Freshwater Society. He was also featured in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s “40 under 40” list of emerging business leaders.
Marco van Rookhuijzen
Started Steam in 1994. And therefore 18 this year!
During these years the agency developed from a start up to a celebrated lead, top 3, agency in employer branding and corporate communications. Employs 25 people. Highly Award winning over the years. Marco has been a MD since the start.
Studied at Hotel Business school in The Hague, Netherlands. However decided after some trials in the hotel business that this was not his ultimate working environment.
Became marketing trainee in fast moving consumer. And discovered advertising, during this traineeship, while working at the internal advertising studio. Decided to develop himself in the field and worked since, for a few agencies and a large number of clients like Dow chemical, Rabobank, Euro Disney, DSM, Volvo, DHL, IKEA, Accenture and Ernst & Young.
Takes care at Steam for their main client, the Ministery of Defence, and remains MD.
He is a founding member of Tribe Global and a firm believer in developing brands across borders.
Is an enthusiastic sportsman, a food lover, fairly good cook and a passionate family man. Partner Yvonne, daughter Nikki and sons Joost and Bram make his life a dream.
